Finding a tiger called Spot is surprising
An epithet needing some rationalising
He’s one of a little known breed from Kilkenny
So rare David Attenborough couldn’t find any
They sleep in the treetops in satin pyjamas
And live on a diet of emus and llamas
They wallow in mud and converse with the vipers
And never get nobbled by IRA snipers
So if you’re still wond’ring why Spot got that title
A grasp of his origins clearly is vital
It came from his dear Irish mother named Debra
Who christened him after her favourite zebra
