I took issue with my pillow
When I couldn’t sleep last night
And I told it, “Please keep stillo
’Cause you’re making me uptight.”
But my headrest wouldn’t listen,
Kept on wriggling ’neath my ear
All the while prejudicin’
Beauty sleep which I hold dear.
“Come on foam face,” I exhorted,
“Keep your body firm and plump,
Don’t lie there with form distorted,
Or I’ll tear you lump from lump.”
Seems the cushion was amused for
It refused to hear my cries,
Now the pillow’s being used for
Stuffing teddy bears’ insides.
