Humpty Dumpty, showing agility
Jumped up on a wall to parade his virility
He wanted to show off his delectability
To heck with decorum and respectability
Perhaps he should rather have practised humility
For all Humpty proved was his own imbecility
His bottom so rounded he had no stability
To stay on the wall he displayed no ability
The fall demonstrated his vulnerability
His frame’s constitution was one of fragility
The horses and men from the local nobility
Arrived on the scene with the utmost mobility
But sadly their first-aid attempts were futility
To put him together beyond feasibility
In death he, at last showed incomparability
The size of the omelette defied credibility
