Piggy the pigeon takes eons to eat
It seems that that birdie is never replete
He gobbles up more than a turkey can munch
And needs at least seven full courses for lunch
How do I write a poem? Part 2
If the idea is simple, a 4-line poem can take minutes. More complex ones can take hours, days or even years. I try to be precise with my metre (rhythm) and make sure that the stress is always on the right syllable. It’s beCAUSE (stress on second syllable) not BEcause...She Asked For an In-crease
Lee crumples clothing for a living
But two weeks’ notice she is giving
She’ll spend a few months convalescing
Because her job was so de-pressing

To egg-sting it’s immune
